What does it mean to be healthy? Personal view

By David Han (Owner/Chiropractor)

When we think of someone healthy, our minds often jump to a certain “look” - toned muscles, glowing skin, an athletic build. But real health goes far beyond appearances.

Looking healthy and being healthy are two different things. Health isn’t just about what’s on the outside; it’s about how you live your life every day.

To me, a truly healthy person is someone who finds balance. They nourish their body with consistent, wholesome food. They move regularly - whether it’s hitting the gym, walking the dog, or dancing in the kitchen. They stay socially connected, laugh with friends, and don’t let work or stress rule their lives.

True health is a lifestyle. It’s not defined by how you look, but by how you live. I understand walking the talk can be difficult in real life. There are many variables that may affect us pursuing a healthy lifestyle eg. young kids, lack of alone time, mortgage, business etc. We feel you! Hang in there - It may be helpful having an accountability partner in your pursuit of a healthier life. This might be your family member, friend, special one, chiro, nutritionist, counsellor, or massage therapist. We are here to help!
