What multidisciplinary care actually means here
Most people arrive having already seen someone. A chiropractor for the back pain, maybe a massage therapist when it flared up again, a GP for the referral. Each did their job. But nobody was looking at the whole picture, and nobody was talking to each other.
That's the gap we built Epoch Health to close.
When you come in with lower back pain, your chiropractor may identify a movement pattern issue — but also notice that your sleep has been poor for eight months and your work stress is through the roof. Instead of that being someone else's problem, we can bring in our counsellor and our dietitian, and everyone works from the same notes toward the same goal.
You get one care plan, not five opinions. That means shared clinical notes across your care team with your consent, internal referrals so you never start over or re-explain your history, one point of contact for scheduling across disciplines, and longer appointments where the complexity warrants it.
Our services
Chiropractic care
Our chiropractors assess how your spine, joints and surrounding muscles move together, then work to restore that movement and reduce your pain. Care commonly involves manual adjustment, soft tissue work, and a rehabilitation plan so improvements hold once you leave the room.
We commonly see people for lower back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, disc-related pain, sports injuries and postural concerns.
Your first appointment includes a full history, a physical and movement assessment, and a clear explanation of what we've found and what we'd suggest. If we don't think chiropractic care is the right fit for what's going on, we'll say so and help you find who is.
Remedial and sports massage
Our remedial and sports massage therapists work on muscle tension, restricted movement and recovery — whether you're training for something, sitting at a desk for fifty hours a week, or working through a rehabilitation plan alongside another practitioner in the clinic.
Sessions are treatment-focused rather than relaxation-focused, and are usually most effective as part of a broader plan rather than a one-off.
Acupuncture
Our registered acupuncturist practises within a traditional Chinese medicine framework, using fine single-use needles at specific points on the body. People commonly seek acupuncture for pain, muscular tension, headaches, stress and general wellbeing.
We'll talk through what the current evidence does and doesn't support for your particular situation before you commit to a course of treatment.
Dietetics and clinical nutrition
Our dietitians provide individualised nutrition support — for weight management, sports performance, diabetes, gut health, chronic disease management, and everyday eating that's actually sustainable.
This isn't a meal plan handed over at the door. It's a series of conversations about what you eat now, what's realistic to change, and how to make those changes stick. Eligible patients may be able to access dietetics through a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan with a GP referral.
Clinical counselling
Our counsellors provide evidence-based support for anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties and life transitions.
Sessions are confidential and paced by you. Where it's useful and you consent, your counsellor can coordinate with the rest of your care team — because chronic pain, sleep and mental health are rarely separate problems.
Your first visit
Before you arrive, we'll email you an intake form. Filling it in beforehand means more of your appointment is spent on you rather than paperwork.
We'll start with 15–20 minutes discussing what's brought you in, what you've tried, and what you want to get back to doing, followed by a physical assessment relevant to your concern. We'll then explain what we think is happening in plain language and what we'd recommend, and where appropriate, begin treatment the same day.
You'll leave with a clear plan: expected timeframe, what you can do between visits, and whether anyone else in the clinic should be involved.
Allow around 45 minutes for a first appointment, and wear comfortable clothing you can move in.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral to book?
No. You can book directly with any of our practitioners without a referral. If you have a Medicare Chronic Disease Management referral from your GP, bring it — it may reduce your out-of-pocket cost for eligible services.
Do you accept private health insurance?
Yes. We offer on-the-spot HICAPS claiming with all major private health funds. Your rebate depends on your level of cover.
How long will my first appointment take?
Around 45 minutes for an initial consultation, which includes history-taking, assessment, explanation of findings and, where appropriate, treatment on the day.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends entirely on what's going on, how long it's been going on, and your goals. We'll give you an honest estimate after your initial assessment and review it as we go. We don't sell prepaid packages.
Can I see more than one practitioner?
Yes, and often that's the point. With your consent, our practitioners share notes and coordinate your care so you're working toward one plan rather than several.
